It’s been five years since I began creating my own illustrated Christmas cards. There is always anticipation among the recipients as to what the illustration is going to be. This year, I was inspired by the steam train station in my home town. Earlier in the year, I learnt that the Christmas trains running from Sheringham would be illuminated with lights – and it just got my imagination going!
2019 has been a great year! I am delighted to continue my collaborations with Dr Curran and Gill Carrick. In May, I exhibited for the second time with Cluster Illustration in London. I published a second edition of my book, The Carnival Queen, in September. And somehow, whilst juggling jobs and commissions, I have still found time to do my annual self portrait and Christmas card.
My sincere thanks to everyone who has supported my art work this year, your encouragement really does keep me inspired and it keeps me drawing! Wishing you a very Merry festive season and a Happy New Year xx
